The experience
If you are interested in learning about the history of emigration, a visit to MIM Belluno is the best choice!
MiM Belluno is housed in the headquarters of the Association of Bellunesi in the World, a living place and for many years a reference point for emigrants, former emigrants and immigrants now welcomed in our land. And it is precisely from the experiences of these figures, their testimonies and their topicality, that the multimedia heart of the Museum takes shape. A small journey that begins with people’s lived experience to capture the universality of the migrant condition. A container of worlds that aims to be open and interactive: with schools, through the proposal of meetings and workshops; with the territory, making the MiM the starting point of a broader itinerary of emigration in the province of Belluno; with the network, proposing exhibitions and online events as an extension of the Museum beyond its borders.
Inside the Headquarters of the Association of Bellunesi in the World is not only MIM Belluno, but also Radio ABM – Voice of the Dolomites, a web radio that for years has been informing and succeeding in uniting the land of its ancestors with the many Bellunesi and oriundi scattered around the world, like you! Once in place, it would be wonderful to count on your testimony in an interview and share it with many other descendants of Venetians who follow the radio station. The microphones of ABM Radio are always interested in telling stories of migration.
