The Adunata degli Alpini is a national event held in a different Italian city each year. In May 2024 it will be hosted in Vicenza. The last time the City hosted this event was in 1991, 33 years ago.
The Alpini, also known as Penne Nere, are specialized mountain troops of the Italian Army. They were founded in 1872.
A typical event of the Adunata, it is the parade/parade that takes place through the streets of the city.
The route in Vicenza, will start from Viale Verona, then continue on Viale Milano and turn onto Viale Roma.
In the Piazza dei Signori, the war flag will arrive on Friday; from this moment on, the Adunata can be considered officially started.
An estimated 400,000 people from all over Italy and beyond are expected in Vicenza. In terms of lodging for the Alpine troops, B&Bs and other hotel facilities in Vicenza and neighboring towns and camps will be set up and dedicated to establish encampments. This makes us realize the importance and magnitude of the event, which is not limited to the city of Vicenza alone.
