The 107th edition of the Giro d’Italia will be held May 4-26, 2024, with the final finish line in Rome. In some stages it will traverse much of the Veneto region, with Alpago being the starting site, Padua and Monte Grappa finish lines.
May 23: from Fiera di Primiero to Padua.
May 25: Alpago to Bassano, an all mountain stage and the penultimate of the route.
Both of these two stages are essential for both technique and scenery!
The 18th stage, the one on May 23, after starting in Fiera di Primiero (Trento), the 166-kilometer route over the Trentino and Veneto regions will be all downhill lightly to Feltre, then through the Prosecco lands, Treviso and the Venetian hinterland. The last part will wind along the Brenta River and its villas to arrive in Padua’s Prato della Valle, where the sprint finish is scheduled.
The penultimate stage of the 2024 edition, all on Veneto territory, is scheduled for Saturday, May 25: 175 kilometers from Alpago in the Belluno area to Bassano del Grappa in the province of Vicenza. With an elevation gain of 4,200 meters, we climb Mount Grappa twice from the Semonzo side. After the second descent, the race immediately continues on to the finish in Bassano del Grappa.
